Confirm: 1 = yes ✅ · 2 = no ❌

Your carnet, tonight

  • Mohamed oil, bread 245.00 DH
  • Fatima paid 100 DH 80.00 DH
  • Rachid nothing for 22 days 410.00 DH
Total owed 735.00 DH

Three moves

You talk. Kounnach writes.

The only new gesture is pressing the WhatsApp microphone — something you already do every day.

  1. 1

    You talk

A voice note in Darija on WhatsApp: “Si Mohamed khda zit o khobz, tlatin dirham.” No keyboard, no form.

  2. 2

    Kounnach writes

It resolves the customer, extracts the amount, reads the entry back to you and waits for your “wa” before writing anything.

  3. 3

    Your evening digest

One message at the end of the day: who owes what, who paid, and who has given you nothing in three weeks.

Why Kounnach

Designed for the hanout, not for the startup

Every decision starts from the same observation: this shopkeeper does not want to learn an app. He wants his notebook to stop betraying him.

Darija, not textbook Arabic

A speech model trained on real Moroccan speech, French code-switching included. General-purpose APIs are trained on MSA and fail at this.

Zero install

The WhatsApp already on the phone. No account to create, no password to remember, no signup screen to abandon.

Your paper carnet, imported by photo

Photograph the pages of your notebook. Kounnach reads the handwriting and picks the balances up where you left them.

Automatic reminders

Kounnach nudges your customers for you, politely, over WhatsApp. You keep the relationship; it carries the awkwardness.

The recording stays your proof

Every voice note is kept and linked to the ledger entry. If a customer disputes an amount, you play it back.

A ledger nobody can rewrite

Nothing is deleted or overwritten: a correction is appended and the history stays intact. Hosted in Europe, aligned with Law 09-08.

FAQ

What people ask us

Do I need to install an app?

No. Kounnach lives entirely inside WhatsApp. You save a number in your contacts and talk to it like anyone else.

What if Kounnach mishears the amount?

It never writes a number without confirmation. On every voice note it reads the entry back — name and amount — and waits for “wa” or “la”. A shaky transcript never becomes money.

Can I type instead of talking?

Yes. A plain text message is enough and it is recorded immediately, with no reply to read. Voice is there for the people who do not write.

Where is my data?

Hosted in Europe, in France, to stay on the adequacy footing of Law 09-08 and CNDP requirements. Your recordings and your ledger are not used to train models.

Do my customers get messages?

Only if you decide so. Reminders and balance sharing are actions you trigger, never automatic sending behind your back.

Does it really replace my paper notebook?

That is the point, and you start by photographing it. If you want to keep the paper in parallel, nothing stops you — the ledger stays exportable.

Your notebook holds thousands of dirhams. It is held together with tape.
